Project Brief

Goose were asked to design a range of clothing for the Canterbury Off Field collection. The objective was to position the brand within the lifestyle arena for the European and US markets based on their heritage in Rugby. We researched the Canterbury history and utilised the brands strength and credibility in this category.

Goose put together a collection including the heritage details and combined with silhouette and colour trend created a unique look for Canterbury.

From the New Zealand grassroots to the global sporting stage, Canterbury of New Zealand make the finest rugby gear in the world. When we were asked to look at the Canterbury Uglies concepts we went back through the brands history and took inspiration from the early days of the brand and rugby kits from around the early decades of the 20th Century.
